Walmart Auto Care Centers Closures Affect Purchasers of Walmart's Lifetime Tire Balance and Rotation Policy

On September 23, 2020, Yoon Law, APC filed a federal class action lawsuit against Defendant Walmart Inc., on behalf of Plaintiff, Kevin Johnson, and all other U.S. residents that were similarly affected, for Defendant’s failure to provide tire balancing and tire rotation services as advertised in their lifetime tire balance and rotation policy. Plaintiff Johnson alleges that when he and other customers purchased lifetime tire balance and rotation, they would receive the promised services through the lifetime of the tires. However, as mentioned in CarComplaints.com article, “Lawsuit: Walmart Auto Care Centers Closed,” by David Wood, Walmart failed to “perform the services included in the [policy],” earlier this year, in March, when it chose to close their Auto Care Centers.

The case, Johnson v. Walmart, Inc., is ongoing in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of California; the class includes all U.S. consumers who purchased the lifetime tire balance and rotation service from Walmart Inc.
